One of the biggest decisions you will have to make when choosing a school is the type of school you want to go to. Community colleges offer smaller class sizes, familiar locations, and cheaper tuition. On the other hand, large schools have more diversity, renowned faculty, and a wider variety of academic resources. Community Colleges
Every community college is different, but most offer many of the same things: small class sizes, hands-on learning, and group participation. The tuition at the average community college also tends to be much cheaper than that of large schools, giving you more education for your dollar. On the other hand, some community colleges have little or no housing opportunities and few academic resources. And, if the school is really small, it may be hard to find a major that fits your career goals.

Large Schools
Larger schools, colleges, and universities cost more than community colleges, but for good reason. These schools offer well-stocked libraries, a wide variety of courses and majors, and in some cases, world-renowned professors. However, there are drawbacks to large schools. Class sizes are sometimes too large and offer little to no interaction with the professors, which can make succeeding in class a bit tougher for some. It will also take you much longer to pay off your education if you don't qualify for scholarships or grants.
